Expanding Access to Mental Health Care

Future Matters Foundation (FMF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to mental health care for individuals facing financial, geographic, or systemic barriers to treatment. Through a hybrid model of secure telehealth and limited in-person services, we provide no-cost counseling while simultaneously training graduate-level counseling interns under licensed supervision. Our mission is to increase access to care, strengthen the behavioral health workforce, and develop ethical, well-prepared clinicians equipped to serve diverse and underserved communities.

Expanding Access to Mental Health Care

About Future Matters Foundation

Future Matters Foundation (FMF) provides no-cost mental health counseling services to uninsured and underserved individuals across North Carolina and South Carolina through secure telehealth and limited in-person services.

At the same time, FMF operates a structured clinical training program for graduate-level counseling interns, offering supervised, hands-on experience that prepares them for entry into the behavioral health workforce.

This dual-impact model addresses two urgent needs: expanding access to mental health care and strengthening the pipeline of qualified, ethical clinicians.

Through university partnerships, licensed supervision, and community-centered programming, Future Matters Foundation contributes to both immediate service delivery and long-term workforce development in the behavioral health field.

Accessible Mental Health Care. Workforce Training. Community Impact.
